Paclitaxel is a natural diterpenoid compound originally isolated from the bark of Pacific yew (Taxus brevifolia) and is now mostly produced through semi synthetic or cell culture techniques. Its CAS number is 33069-62-4 and molecular weight is 853.91. This product is a white to off white crystalline powder that is difficult to dissolve in water but easily soluble in organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol. Paclitaxel is a classic anti microtubule drug with a unique anti-cancer mechanism, widely used in clinical tumor treatment and biomedical research.

Application&Function

Paclitaxel exerts anti-tumor effects by promoting microtubule polymerization and inhibiting its depolymerization, blocking cancer cell mitosis.
