Imidacloprid is a highly efficient nicotine insecticide mainly used to control piercing sucking mouthparts pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, thrips, etc. Its mechanism of action is through interference with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) of insects, which has multiple effects such as contact killing, gastric toxicity, and inhalation.

Imidacloprid is a new nicotine insecticide, whose drug action mainly manifests in targeted inhibition of the insect nervous system and efficient insecticidal effect, as follows:

1, Mechanism of action
Targeted inhibition of neural receptors: By selectively binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the central nervous system of insects, competitive blockade of neural signal transduction leads to paralysis and death of pests.
Unique action site: It does not act on acetylcholinesterase, sodium ion channels, or aminobutyric acid chloride ion channels in mammals, therefore it has high specificity for pests.
2, Application scope
Prevention and control targets:
Mainly targeting piercing sucking mouthparts pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, thrips, etc.
It is also effective against pests of Coleoptera (beetles), Diptera (mosquitoes and flies), and Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies).
Expanded uses include prevention and control of termites and rice jumping insects.
