Enramycin is a peptide antibiotic produced by fermentation of Streptomyces fungicicus, mainly composed of Enramycin A and B. Its appearance is a white to light yellow powder, easily soluble in water, and has good stability. As an animal specific antibiotic, enrofloxacin is widely used in the field of feed additives, with characteristics such as high efficiency, low toxicity, and no residue, which meets the needs of green development in modern animal husbandry. This product exerts bactericidal effects by inhibiting the synthesis of Gram positive bacterial cell walls, especially against pathogens such as Clostridium and Streptococcus, making it an ideal alternative to growth promoting antibiotics.
Application&Function

Enramycin mainly interferes with the synthesis of peptidoglycan in bacterial cell walls, leading to the lysis and death of pathogens, especially having a strong inhibitory effect on Gram positive bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens. In the breeding industry, it can effectively prevent and treat intestinal infections in livestock and poultry (such as necrotizing enteritis), improve feed conversion rate, and promote growth. Its advantage lies in the difficulty of developing drug resistance, extremely low intestinal absorption rate, almost no tissue residue, and high safety. The European Union, Japan and other regions have approved its use as a feed additive, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has also included it in the "Catalogue of Feed Additive Varieties", which is applicable to the healthy breeding of pigs, chickens and other animals.
