Vitamin K2 is a fat soluble compound in the vitamin K2 family, chemically named menaquinone-7 (MK-7). It has a long side chain, stable metabolism in the human body, and higher bioavailability in extrahepatic tissues. It only requires a daily dose of micrograms (such as 90 μ g) to exert its activity.
