Ibudilast is a medication used to treat bronchial asthma and can also improve the subjective symptoms of patients with post-stroke sequelae, cerebral hemorrhage sequelae, and cerebral arteriosclerosis.
It has an inhibitory effect on the contraction of isolated animal airway smooth muscle caused by inflammatory mediators such as leukotriene D4 (LTD4) and platelet activating factor (PAF), can alleviate airway smooth muscle spasms in guinea pigs caused by inflammatory mediators, and can inhibit passive skin hypersensitivity reactions in experimental animals. The main symptoms include loss of appetite, belching, upper abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, rash, and skin itching.
