Selamectin is a macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic drug derived from a semi synthetic derivative of avermectin B1, with a molecular weight of 770.0. The appearance is a white to off white powder, slightly soluble in water, and easily soluble in organic solvents. Its efficient and broad-spectrum properties make it an important ingredient in the field of veterinary medicine, especially for the prevention and treatment of parasitic infections in dogs and cats.
