Ciclopirox Olamine inhibits essential metal dependent enzymes (such as peroxidase) in fungi by chelating metal ions such as iron and aluminum, blocking their energy metabolism and cell membrane synthesis. Compared to traditional azole drugs, it is less likely to develop resistance and is effective against various pathogenic fungi such as Candida and Trichophyton. Its anti-inflammatory effect can alleviate the accompanying redness, swelling, and itching. When used topically, it can form a high concentration retention in the skin and nails, exerting long-lasting therapeutic effects. Some studies have also shown that it has anti biofilm activity and is suitable for complex infections.
