Isopropyl inosine is an organic compound with the chemical formula C52H78N10O17, yellowish or colorless powder, slightly bitter, hygroabsorbent, soluble in water, inosine and dimethylaminoisopropyl alcohol, paracetin benzoate.
It is an immunomodulatory drug, which has been proved in vitro that it can enhance the immune response of PHA or antigen, promote the differentiation and proliferation of T lymphocytes, and stimulate the differentiation and production of antibodies of B lymphocytes by activating TH cells or macrophages.

It has antiviral and anti-tumor activities in vivo, and clinical double-blind trials have demonstrated that oral isopropyl inosine can reduce the duration and severity of various viral infections (such as influenza, chickenpox, rubella, mumps and multiple stomatitis). The recovery of immune function in AIDS and tumor patients was significantly better than placebo. Isopropyl inosine tablets or eye drops can improve the symptoms and signs of herpesvirus keratitis and uveitis compared with placebo. This product has the advantages of rapid metabolism, mild adverse reactions and convenient administration.
Isopropyl inosine is a drug synthesized from inosine and N, n-dimethylaminopropanol in a 1:3 ratio of p-acetylaminobenzoate. Applications of isopropyl inosine include viral diseases and immunodeficiency diseases. Its antiviral effect is mainly exerted by improving the immune function of the body.
