Usage 1
Mainly used for Candida albicans infections in the skin, mucous membranes, oral cavity, intestines, and vagina, with high concentrations having bactericidal effects
Usage 2
Nystatin belongs to the polyene class of antifungal antibiotics and has strong pro-inflammatory properties. It has many applications, such as preventing cell culture contamination and inducing the expression of interleukin (IL) -, IL-8, TLR2, and tumor necrosis factor alpha secreted by THP1 cells. It is used as a fungal membrane (ergosterol binding) pore forming agent and to create ion channels for nystatin/ergosterol in lipid bilayers.
Usage 3
The spectrum and antibacterial mechanism are similar to amphotericin B, mainly used for Candida albicans infections in the skin, mucous membranes, oral cavity, and vagina.
Usage 4
Yellow or yellow brown powder, with a special odor and hygroscopicity. Slightly soluble in water, ethanol, insoluble in ether. Unstable to air, light, heat, water, acid or alkali. Antifungal antibiotics.
