Adapalene, also known as 6-[3-(1-amantadyl) -4-methoxyphenyl] -2-naphthoic acid, molecular formula is C28H28O3, white or white powder at room temperature, insoluble in water or ethanol, slightly soluble in tetrahydrofuroan. Adapalene is a dermatological drug, which is clinically suitable for the skin treatment of acne vulgaris with acne, papules and pustules as the main manifestations. It can also be used to treat acne on the face, chest and back.
Application&Function

Pharmacological action
Adaparine mainly binds to RARβ and RARγ, and has a weak binding force with RARα. In vitro, it can inhibit glutaminase of keratinocytes, inhibit diagonalization process, and regulate cell differentiation. In animal experiments, it was found that adapalene has comedolytic effect and local anti-inflammatory effect, and its anti-inflammatory activity may be related to its interference with the function of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and the metabolism of arachidonic acid.
pharmacokinetics
The chemical and photochemical properties of adapalene are stable, and there is no degradation reaction when penetrating through the skin. In vivo experiments in rats showed that the concentration of adapalene in the epidermis was 5×105mol/L, and that in the dermis was 10 times lower. This product is strong lipophilic, mostly concentrated in hair follicles, easily soluble in sebum. Percutaneous osmosis of people is low, which can not be detected in the blood during treatment.
