Avilamycin is an oligosaccharide antibiotic produced by fermentation of Streptomyces viridochrogenes, belonging to the family of normal streptomycin. Its chemical structure is complex and has a unique antibacterial mechanism, mainly targeting Gram positive bacteria, especially pathogenic bacteria (such as Clostridium and Streptococcus) in the intestines of pigs and poultry. This product is a white to off white powder, slightly soluble in water, with good stability, and needs to be stored in the dark and dry. Avilamycin is widely used in animal husbandry as a growth promoting feed additive due to its low toxicity, no residue, and resistance. It can improve animal feed conversion rate and reduce the occurrence of intestinal diseases.
