Deltamethorin is an efficient pyrethroid insecticide.
Deltamethrin, The Chinese name for the insecticide is bromoxystrobin, also known as carbendazim, , or . It is one of the most efficient pyrethroid insecticides of our time, with a potency one order of magnitude higher than that of chlorpyrifos. The dosage of deltamethrin is very small, only 7.5-15g/hm ², but it is ineffective against nematodes and has a toxicity to houseflies about 1000 times higher than natural pyrethroids. This drug has stable properties, long-lasting efficacy, wide insecticidal spectrum, fast knockdown speed, and particularly high killing power against Lepidoptera larvae and aphids. Its active site is the insect nervous system and belongs to the category of nerve agents.

Deltamethrin is a neurotoxic pyrethroid insecticide.
The drug action of bromoxystrobin mainly works by affecting the nervous system of insects. It mainly acts on the basic voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs) involved in the excitation and conduction of nerve cells. Its mechanism of action is to prolong the opening time of VGSCs in insects, causing the cell membrane to continuously depolarize, resulting in toxic symptoms after motor dysfunction, namely immediate spasm and rapid entry into a paralyzed state, ultimately leading to paralysis and death.
