Doxycycline Hyclate has an antibacterial spectrum similar to Tetracycline and Terramycin but is more effective, particularly against tetracycline-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. It has a prolonged duration of action and is commonly used to treat conditions such as chronic bronchitis in the elderly, respiratory and lung infections, acute tonsillitis, mycoplasma pneumonia, urinary tract infections, septicemia, bacillary dysentery, and acute lymphadenitis. It is especially favored for patients with kidney disease due to its minimal renal toxicity.
Application&Function
1. Almost the same Antibacterial spectrum with tetracycline and oxytetracycline,
Doxycycline Hyclate has the stronger inside and outside antibacterial effect than tetracycline.
2. Microorganism has closely cross-resistance with Doxycycline Hyclate, and tetracycline and oxytetracycline. Good oral absorption.
3. Mainly used on upper respiratory tract infection, tonsillitis, biliary tract infection, lymphadenitis, honeycomb group inflammation, chronic bronchitis caused by sensive Gram-
4. positive bacteria and gram-negative bacilli.
It can be also used to control Typhus, Qiang echinococcosis, mycoplasma pneumonia.
And used to control cholera, and prevent Falciparum malaria and leptospirosis infection.
