Teneeptin sodium salt is a tricyclic antidepressant. Its antidepressant mechanism is different from that of traditional tricyclic antidepressants. It can increase the reuptake of 5-HT in the synaptic cleft and may have the effect of improving the conduction of 5-HT neurons. It has no affinity for choline or receptors. The antidepressant efficacy is similar to that of tricyclic compounds, but the tolerance is better than that of tricyclic compounds. In animal experiments, it can increase the spontaneous activity of pyramidal cells in the hippocampus and accelerate the recovery of their functions after inhibition. Application&Function

Indications
It is used for the treatment of mild, moderate or severe depression, neurogenic and reactive depression, anxiety and depression caused by physical discomfort, especially gastrointestinal discomfort, and anxiety and depression that occur in alcohol-dependent patients during the withdrawal process. The recommended dose is 12.5 mg orally before the main breakfast, lunch and dinner, tid. For those with chronic alcoholism, regardless of whether they have liver cirrhosis or not, there is no need to adjust the dosage. For patients over 70 years old and those with renal insufficiency, the dosage is limited to 2 tablets per day.

Drug interaction
When used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, it may cause cardiovascular disease attacks or paroxysmal hypertension, high fever, convulsions, and even death. Before taking this product, the monoamine oxidase inhibitor must be discontinued for 2 weeks. 24 hours after discontinuing this product, monoamine oxidase inhibitors can be taken.
